Family and friends of a missing Brunswick County man are fearing the worst since 72 hours have passed since 52-year-old William "Tommy" Beasley was last seen.
Shavonda Beasley, the missing man's daughter, told CBS 6 News senior reporter Wayne Covil that she is terribly worried since her father never traveled far from his Belfield Rd. home.
At least two friends spotted him in his Chevrolet pickup heading down Belfield Rd. on Tuesday afternoon.
He was then spotted about three miles away in the parking lot of Woodruff Convenience Store in Greensville County.
Brunswick County Sheriff Brian Roberts said investigators think he disappeared between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
And since Beasley had no cellphone or credit or debit cards, Roberts said there is no way to track his movements via technology.
Ivory Scott, a lifelong friend of Beasley, said he fears the worst now that three days have passed.
"He's been gone too long," said Beasley. "He wouldn't just leave his family because he thought a lot of his family."
Beasley is described as a black male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 235 pounds. He drives a silver Chevrolet extended cab pickup with license tag XHK-7632. The truck has "Brandon Brook Security" on the side.
