Sheriff's deputies in Brunswick County are searching for a missing teenager.
DaMonte Batts, 15, was last seen around 4 p.m. Monday at North Brunswick High School, where he is a student.
At first authorities did not believe Batts was in any danger, but escalated the report Tuesday morning. According to the sheriff's office, Batts is now considered "an endangered juvenile."
The teen is about 5'4" with dark eyes and hair. He was last seen wearing a grey Aeropostale sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Holly Locklear at 910-880-4950.
