A pregnant woman, missing since January 9, has been found dead. According to Pueblo Police, during the execution of a search warrant Monday evening, the body of Phenia Martinez was found inside a residence she shared with her boyfriend in the 1900 block of W. 13th St. Police say the preliminary cause of death is believed to be homicide. Martinez was eight months pregnant.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 2nd degree murder for Martinez's boyfriend, Joseph Romero, but have not been able to locate him. Romero is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the suspected homicide or Romero's whereabouts is asked to contact Pueblo Police.
