VICTIM: 14-year-old Margarita Chaparro
PERSON OF INEREST: 45-Year-old Jose C. Arrellano
VEHICLE:: A late model Chevy 4 door truck, light gray in color and described as a Texas Edition model with the license plate 77106H1.
The family of the missing Hollister 14-year-old says that they warned the person of interest to stay away. Police are looking for 42-year-old Jose C. Arrellano as a person of interest in this case, but have not named him as a suspect yet.
Arrellano is an acquaintance of the family and was recently seen with Margarita Chaparro. According to the family, Arrellano was acting Inappropriately towards the 14-year-old and even sent her flowers on her birthday. "I'm scared he might have sold her. He might have killed her, He might have taken her into prostitution," said the victim's sister Emy Rodriguez.
The family told Central Coast News that Arrellano was warned to stay away from Margarita a few weeks before.
14-year-old Margarita Chaparro. Chaparro is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5' 2", 115 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a light blue blouse and light blue, ripped jeans with black/white low top Converse shoes.
Police have named Arrellano as a person of interest because of his past behavior towards Arrellano. All attempts to contact Arellano have been unsuccessful and his whereabouts are unknown, said police.
