MISSING: Michael Bayne, 45 - Kalkaska, MICHIGAN

Michael Bayne, 45, of Kalkaska went missing between the hours of 10 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was last seen at the family home around 10 p.m. on Monday.

"He would never leave us as far as I know," cried Michael Bayne's wife, Karen.

His wife knows the week has reached its end but the search for her missing husband has not.

The rain, a hindrance to search efforts, but the family not losing hope that Michael is out there somewhere.

Their daughter Angel, serving in the Air Force in Germany, isn't near but is feeling the impact just as hard as the rest of her family.

"I mean it's hard, definitely hard, just not knowing is the worst part," said Angel.

Michael's whereabouts and reason for leaving remains a mystery.

"I came back in the house and that's when I started getting concerned, because I seen his glasses were on the coffee table, his watch, his wallet, everything was here, nothing was missing, all the vehicles were here," said Karen.

According to Karen, Michael suffered from serious back problems including arthritis, fibromyalgia and has six rods in his back. Karen said it's pain he's had to deal with daily for years.

"I mean he's had a lot of days where he doesn't even leave the house," said Karen.

Michael also left behind his pain medication that night. Family said just disappearing is unlike the loving family man they know.

"If he were to go somewhere and he was in a very stable state of mind, he would've let somebody know, he would've woke up my mom or something, but to disappear like the way he did is bizarre," said Angel.

As they wait for answers the pole barn where Karen said Michael often tinkers with machines remains closed up and quiet. The same as Karen found it the day she stepped in to see if he was there.

"I think something happened, I just don't know what," said Karen.

Authorities said they are stopping physical searches and are now looking to very few tips they've received and forensic evidence.

Friends and family are still making searches and are extending their efforts to facebook. A missing person facebook page has been created for Michael and the family is encouraging people to share the message with others.

At this point authorities say their is no indication of foul play.

Bayne is described as a 6'1" white male weighing 190 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes and noticeable freckles.

He was last seen wearing a green flannel shirt, jeans or sweatpants and black tennis shoes, but the family says they are not sure if he is still wearing those clothes.
