A co-owner of the iconic Nicola Pizza in Rehoboth Beach who went missing Jan. 12 has returned home, reportedly safe and sound.

State police announced Wednesday morning Nicholas S. Caggiano, a 47-year-old Ocean View resident, is back with his family.

But police aren’t saying where Caggiano has been the past two weeks or why he disappeared.

“No crime was committed and as far as we’re concerned, our missing person investigation is complete,” Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said. “We’re not providing any additional information except to say that he is home.”

Caggiano left his home in the 38000 block of Burbage Lane near Ocean View about 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 12, but never arrived for work at the pizzeria in Rehoboth Beach, police first announced Jan. 18.
