Earthly body located and identified; Amber Owens 26 - Dayton, Ohio

TROTWOOD -- The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has confirmed the body found Thursday in Trotwood is that of 23-year-old Amber Owens.

Owens of Harrison Township was last seen Oct. 21, 2014, when she went shopping. A missing person's report was filed three days later.

Her car was found several days later, abandoned. Her family continued searching for Amber, even leading search parties, looking in places they thought would be likely to find dumped bodies.

The coroner's office has not yet ruled on a cause of death.
