ENDANGERED #MISSING: Zamien Benditt-Parkes, 17 - Wilmot Township, PENNSYLVANIA

17 year old Zamien Benditt-Parkes of Wilmot Township was not with his classmates on their first day of school yesterday. The Wyalusing Valley Junior-Senior High School track athlete would be going into his senior year.   Alleged text messages from Zamien around 3AM Sunday, Augusut 17th is the last time anyone heard from him. Zamien reportedly told a friend he needed an ambulance. That friend responded asking what was wrong, but heard nothing back, and called 911. When ambulance and police arrived they found no signs of Zamien. Pennsylvania State Police sent out a notice stating Zamien had run away and conducted a search.    Meantime, Concerned Neighbor Danielle Rufh created a Search for Zamien Facebook page and conducted her own search in hopes to find clues of where Zamien went. "Nothing adds up, it just doesn't feel right. I think a lot of people are feeling the same way, they don't understand and want to get the word out and search. If it is a cry for attention, were giving him his attention. Were concerned about him and we want it back," says Rufh.   According to Danielle, Zamien's friends say they are worried about him and this isn't like him to run away. Zamien's adopted mother, Aelise Parkes declined to speak on camera but told me quote:   "I know he is safe and this is just him looking for attention and I don't want to give it to him. This is not a case where he went to the grocery store for milk and disappeared."   Wednesday the state police sent out a release changing the report from a runaway to a endangered/missing persons report. If you have any information on Zamien, please call the state police  at 1-570-265-2186.
