-- The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the body found Thursday in the Cuyahoga River as missing Eastlake woman Hillary Sharma.
Sharma, 30, was the subject of a week-long search of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park after her Toyota Camry was discovered abandoned outside the Boston Store Visitor Center just after midnight Aug. 22.
No cause or manner of death has been released.
A family friend who answered the door at the home of Sharma's mother said news of the death was shocking.
"She was a good kid," the woman said.
Two National Park Service rangers found the body about 6 p.m. Thursday while searching the park for Sharma.
Sharma was last seen Aug. 19 in Bedford. Investigators believe Sharma, an avid photographer, had visited the park to take photographs.
The search had been going on for seven days when the body was discovered in the river. The body was found just north of the bridge at Vaughn and West Highland roads at the border of Brecksville and Sagamore Hills.
