#MISSING: Margaret Zavalidroga, 83 - Oneida, NEW YORK

Authorities are searching for an 83-year-old woman who they say has been missing since Friday.
Oneida police said Margaret Zavalidroga was reported missing by her son, Thomas Zavalidroga, at about 4 p.m. Friday. She was last seen in Oneida at about 10:30 a.m. Friday when she signed papers for a vehicle purchase.
Thomas Zavalidroga told police that around 2:30 p.m. he took his mother to a friend's house on Genesee Street in Oneida to get help picking up the vehicle. Thomas Zavalidroga told police that he left his mother in his white van at his friend's property because he expected to be gone about 20 minutes.
Police said he returned with a friend an hour and a half later and discovered that his mother was gone. No one reported seeing Margaret Zavalidroga in the van prior to leaving the friend's property and no one had reported seeing her in the area.
Police said Thomas Zavalidroga has been "reluctant in providing information requested" about his mother's disappearance.
Officers checked Margaret Zavalidroga's home at 3267 Forward Road, in Blossvale, but did not find her. They also spoke with a son living in Utica, but got no further information on her whereabouts.
Margaret Zavalidroga is described as a 5-foot tall, 83-year-old white woman weighing about 100 pounds. She had black salt and pepper hair and false teeth. She was last seen wearing gold-rimmed glasses, a green sweater, purple pants and brown slip-on boots. Police did not provide a photo of Margaret Zavalidroga.

Anyone with information on Margaret Zavalidroga's whereabouts is asked to contact Oneida police at 315-363-2323 or by dialing 911.
