The Peoria County Coroner confirms, the female body found off Galena Road in Peoria Saturday is that of Terri Anderson.
Anderson was last seen on the night of May 18th by her ex-husband, Daniel Wilson, who claims he dropped her off at her own apartment. He was arrested for unrelated charges and released shortly after. Anderson's family has previously said that it was very unlike Terri to not show up for work and not call. They have played a role in a major search effort over the past two weeks.
After autopsy, the coroner determined Anderson was strangled to death. The body was found in a drainage ditch in a secluded area by a passerby around 3:00 p.m. in the 6500 Block of Galena Road.
A toxicology report is pending.
