Officials on Monday were continuing the search for a 41-year-old missing Rossmoor man whose abandoned car was found in El Dorado Park last week.
Michael Gal was last seen May 5 at 7 a.m. at his residence in Rossmoor, said Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock. Hallock said Gal's family members are concerned because he has been under "unusual stress" recently and his abrupt disappearance is uncharacteristic behavior.
Long Beach police found Gal's car parked near El Dorado Park on Thursday, but Gal remains missing, he said.
"We were hoping that with a busy weekend over Mother's Day someone would have seen something in the park or he would have been found, but unfortunately that hasn't happened," he said.
Gal is described as white, 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. He has salt-and-pepper-colored hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a dark, short-sleeved polo shirt, khaki shorts and blue sneakers.
