Located Safe: Benjamin Jones, 22 - Georgia

A Morehouse student who went missing on the day of his supposed graduation was recently found unharmed at the city's Doraville MARTA station, the police report.
Ben Jones reportedly blamed insufferable humiliation over not graduating for his sudden and frightening disappearance from his family and friends, many of whom traveled from out of state to celebrate his big day, a suburban Atlanta police spokesman said.
Roswell detectives and MARTA police located Jones about 1:30 a.m. He vanished about two weeks ago, leaving his terrified family to hold vigils and enlist the police to help find him.
According to WSB-TV, the father said his son told him that he was going to pick up graduation tickets when he suddenly went missing, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.
At first the father was unconcerned when he didn't return home.
"It's not unusual for him to go over to a friend's house or go out for a run with friends," he said. "When he didn't get home at midnight, I remember thinking, 'Where is that boy?'"
But when the day of graduation came and he had not heard from his son, panic set in on Richard Jones and he family. Richard Jones, a Morehouse graduate himself, drove to the school to look for his son and also to speak with school officials.
That's when Richard Jones leared Ben Jones wasn't scheduled to graduate after all.
Ben Jones "reported that due to the disappointment regarding graduation at Morehouse, he felt that he needed to get away from things," Roswell police spokesman Zachary Frommer said late this morning.
Ben Jones, police said, had parked at the North Springs train station and wandered aimlessly throughout the city, Frommer said. He also blamed his inability to contact his family on a broken cell phone that was later lost.
Frommer told the media that someone sent a tip that Ben Jones was holed up at the Five Points MARTA train station in the center of downtown Wednesday evening.
Not long after, investigators found Ben Jones at the Doraville station 10 miles away.
"Mr. Jones was convinced to go home to his family and he will not face any charges," he said.
