A missing 15-year-old Aloha girl believed to be a human trafficking victim and later found safe in Vancouver had an outstanding warrant and was arrested soon after being located, authorities say.
Adrian Brown appeared in Clark County Juvenile Court Thursday morning on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation, according to a court clerk. The probation stemmed from an August 2013 conviction for second-degree theft and criminal impersonation in Vancouver.
Brown was found alone on Wednesday, said Kim Kapp, a Vancouver police spokeswoman. It is not known if any investigation related to the circumstances of Brown's disappearance is ongoing.
Brown was announced as missing by the Washington County Sheriff's Office on April 26. The girl had a history of running away from home, the sheriff's office said, had been missing in this instance since March and may have been accompanied by an unidentified man at least twice her age who encouraged illegal behavior.
Vancouver police received an anonymous tip Wednesday about a girl matching Brown's description at a Carl's Jr's on East Fourth Plain Boulevard, Kapp said. An officer confirmed the girl was Brown, discovered she was listed as a runaway as well as the warrant and arrested her without incident.
The sheriff's office said Brown would be returned to her guardian in Oregon on a later date.Source: http://www.oregonlive.com/aloha/index.ssf/2014/05/missing_aloha_girl_suspected_a.html
