URGENT MEDICAL #MISSING: Gary Runyon, 36 - Hardy, KENTUCKY (NEEDS MEDICATION) #kentucky

A Pike County man that has been missing since March 4 is the subject of a search by police officials, family and friends, and they are now requesting the assistance of the public to aid in their efforts to locate and bring him home.

Gary Runyon, 36, of Hardy, Ky., according to his mother Della Auvil, suffers from mental issues and is on medication that he desperately needs to take. He is well known in the local community, having gained recognition from the many trips he has made along Rt. 319 from his home located near the Hardy Mountain, through the neighborhood of Toler, and along U.S. 119 toward South Williamson. Runyon typically wears black colored clothing that includes a hoodie that covers his head, and is hardly ever seen without a backpack and a skateboard in hand.

Auvil has spoke with the media about her missing son and said that he has never been gone for an extended period of time before, commenting that he always returns home at night. She had received tips that he may have been spotted in Charleston and Huntington, as well as in South Point, Ohio, but her husband traveled to all those locations and conducted a search but did not have any luck in locating him.

If you have any information regarding the location of Runyon or if you have seen him since the date of March 4th, you are asked to please contact his mother at 606-353-8100, or the Pikeville Post of the Kentucky State Police at 606-433-7711.

"I just want him home where he belongs," stated Auvil. "I love my son very much and I am worried to death about him."
