Police said the missing 71-year-old St. Paul man who disappeared around 2 a.m. Sunday was found safe.
St. Paul police spokesman Howie Padilla said Fred Horton had gone on a day trip without notifying relatives, and his phone was dead.
In a message posted on Twitter at 3 p.m., St. Paul police said Fred Horton had been found "safe and warm."
St. Paul police said they were initially concerned because he had possible medical issues, and overnight temperatures were dangerously cold.
Fred Horton, 71, had last been seen in the area of University Avenue West and North Chatsworth Street in St. Paul, Padilla said. Squads had searched for him during the morning, he said.
