#MISSING: Jorge E. Rodriguez, 24 and Melissa A. Pereira, 25 - Wayne, NEW JERSEY (driving a white 1998 Honda Prelude, 2 door with NJ plate E77AYX)

The Wayne Police Department and the Garfield Police Department are working in conjunction on the case of two missing young adults, Jorge E. Rodriguez and Melissa A. Pereira, reportedly last seen on leaving Pereira's house in Wayne on Dec. 27, 2013, at which time the couple stated they were going on a short ride.

The vehicle Rodriguez was last seen operating was a white 1998 Honda Prelude, two-door with a New Jersey Registration E77AYX. The vehicle has tinted windows and a New York Giants decal on the rear of the car.Rodriguez, of Garfield, was reported missing to the Garfield Police on Dec. 30, 2013, and earlier that day Pereira, his girlfriend, was reported missing to the Wayne Police, according to a press release issued by the Garfield Police.

Both Rodriguez and Pereira have been entered into the National Crime Investigation Center (NCIC) as missing persons
Garfield Police stated that the couple had reservation at the Cherry Valley Manor in Stroudsburg, Pa., on Dec. 31, 2013 but they never arrived.
The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit was also contacted and an entry was made into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUS).

Rodriguez, 24, is a white male, five-foot-10, weighs 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Pereira, 25, is an Asian female, five-foot-seven, weighs 160 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes.

The lead detective for the Garfield Police is Det. Everett Garnto, Jr., and the lead Det. for Wayne Police is Det. Dennis Ferray.
