A 21-year-old Crown Point, Ind., man is still missing after his car and phone were found Saturday night in Grant Park.
A Hyundai Elantra belonging to Richard Eugene Spindler III was found on private property on 12000E Road — known as Slaughter House Road — north of 9000N Road, according to a Kankakee County sheriff's police report.
Spindler's cell phone was also located on the property.
Spindler has not been found as of 11:30 a.m. Monday, police said. The Illinois State Police is continuing the search via the department's airplane.
Spindler is between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot 4 with a thin build, brown eyes and short, brown hair, according to the county sheriff's Facebook page. He was last seen wearing a black coat, black pants, an Adidas shirt and no shoes.
