The family of missing Angel Garcia, of Hartford, held a missing awareness event for their son who has been missing for two years.  The anniversary vigil was sponsored by LostNMissing Inc., a 501c(3) Nonprofit out of New Hampshire that has assisted the family since he became missing, Hartford Communities That Care and Angel's family.

Members of the Hartford Police attended as well as provided the service of fingerprinting children for identification safekeeping. Over 70 attended the Event.  The gathering of community members enabled them to obtain handouts on safety as well as various speakers who gave tips on safety.  A free luncheon of pizza, sandwich roll ups, cookies, soda and coffee was enjoyed by all. Laura Otero, Angel's mother stated "We thank everyone who has attended and hope that everyone takes a missing poster of Angel to hang in the community. Many are not aware that he is still missing, he is loved and we need our son."  Ralph Garcia, Angel's father, echoed the same sentiments and further added "If anyone has any information, we ask that you please contact authorities." The Smolinski family of Naugatuck, CT also attended to provide support to the Garcia family. Their son, William "Billy" Smolinski has been missing for nine years.

Garcia went missing on October 21, 2011 while out riding his red Honda dirt bike on the homemade trails in Hartford, CT.  He is approx.  5'8″   , and weighs 180lbs. His long brown hair is usually worn pulled back. Garcia has a scar on his right hand on the knuckles along with a mole on his upper lip. He also has pierced ears. His Red Honda 85cc Dirt Bike, with a large "Geico" logo on the side, is still missing. For more information, see www.missingangelgarcia.com; or Facebook "Missing Angel Garcia."
