An 83-year-old Knox County man has been found safe after relatives reported him missing.
Donald L. Adams was located in Oliver Springs on Monday, according to authorities.
Adams, who began displaying bouts of confusion earlier this year, had last been seen Sunday morning when he left his daughter’s home in Powell.
He called his daughter about 9:30 p.m. Sunday night from a gas station in LaFollette, Tenn., seeking directions because he was lost. After that, his cellphone died and he could not reached.
Authorities subsequently entered the man into the national crime database as an endangered person.
The LaFollette Police Department confirmed that he was located safe Monday night.
More details as they develop online and in Tuesday’s News Sentinel.
