A 48-year-old Pratt Street resident has been missing since Aug. 2, when he walked away from his home, leaving behind his wallet and cellphone and his car in a repair shop.
Police Officer Jeffrey Thibodeu, a detective in the Lunenburg Police Department, said there has been no sign of Robert Farrell since he walked way from his home at 13 Pratt St.
"There is nothing new at this time," he said. "It's an ongoing investigation."
Officer Thibodeau said family and friends have created a Facebook page, "Finding Bob Farrell," to help in the investigation. The page, which was created Saturday, encourages anyone who has seen Mr. Farrell to call Officer Thibodeau at the Lunenburg Police Department at (978) 582-4151.
After Mr. Farrell's disappearance was reported, police issued a missing persons bulletin to police departments throughout the region. The bulletin indicates Mr. Farrell is 6 feet 2 inches tall, has gray hair and a beard, and weighs 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a gray T-shirt and penny loafer-style shoes.
Also included was a photograph of clean-shaven Mr. Farrell from his driver's license and a photograph of him with a beard taken Aug. 2 by an automated teller machine.
Police and friends have searched nearby woods, but have found no sign of the missing man.
Officer Thibodeau said anyone who may have seen Mr. Farrell is asked to contact police.
