Have you seen Ella Andrews? A distraught local family has turned to Crime Stoppers, in a desperate attempt to find a loved one who disappeared last month.
Family members say Andrews, 52, suffers from severe depression. On April 24, she walked away from the I-Care Group Home in Southfield, and has not been seen since.
"It's a nightmare," Andrew's sister, Yolanda Haggen, told WWJ Newsrasdio 950′s Chrystal Knight. "Every day, it seems so empty … not knowing if she's somewhere safe. I guess the not knowing is the hardest part."
Haggen said Andrews may have been spotted at a 7-Eleven at 11 Mile Road and Inkster and also at the Kroger at 11 Mile and Middlebelt.
But there's been no information on Andrews since then.
"Wherever she is, if somebody has her or anything, you know, just let her go. Her grandkids miss her. We miss her; her daughter, her sister — we just want her to come home," Haggen said.
Anyone who has seen Andrews or who had information about her whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. A $1,000 reward is being offered for help in the case.
