Michael Holland 32 Motorcyclist missing - Covington TN

The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of a missing man who was last seen Wednesday at about 6 a.m. at his home located in the 2000 block of Highway 14 in Covington. The missing man is Michael Olin Holland Jr., 32, described as a white man, 185 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches tall, brown eyes, brown short hair, no facial hair wearing black glasses, according to a news release.

Holland has no known medical conditions. He was last seen wearing his work uniform, which is black Carhartt pants, tan shirt with TVA logo, and a black TVA ball cap.

According to his wife, who is assisting detectives in the investigation, she received a text message about 10 a.m., which had no indication of alarm. His wife was contacted at about 7 p.m. by co-workers indicating he had not arrived at work at 6 p.m. in Brownsville, which was highly unusual.

His wife confirmed Holland's motorcycle was not at the residence upon her arrival at their home from work. Deputies found no signs of foul play at the residence.

Deputies confirmed no reports at local hospitals or crashes in the county involving motorcycle victims.

The motorcycle is described as a green (has a yellowish tint) and black 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle bearing TN motorcycle tag # 5ZT974. Holland is known to ride rural routes throughout the area but especially the roads in Tipton and Lauderdale County near the Mississippi River. He has been known to make rides as far as Missouri and Kentucky.
