Portland woman reported missing during Hawaii visit found dead, authorities say

A recent photograph shows Ivanice "Ivy" Harris, 29, on a beach in Hawaii while on vacation. Authorities said Tuesday that she was found dead after being reported missing since last week.

Authorities in Hawaii say aPortland woman recently vacationing on the islandhas been found dead.

Autopsy results for Ivanice "Ivy" Harris, 29, are still pending, the Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office said Tuesday.

Honolulu police reported finding a woman's body in Waianae, Hawaii on Monday. The medical examiner's office confirmed the woman found was Harris, but would not release any further details. Her death is under investigation.

Harris went to Hawaii about two weeks ago with her boyfriend and a friend to celebrate her 29th birthday, her sister, Holley Watson, told The Oregonian.

Harris was reported missing after she was last seen speaking with a man outside a bar in Waikiki about 2:15 a.m. on May 16, police said.

Harris graduated from Jefferson High School in 2001 and recently enrolled at Mt. Hood Community College.

A post on a Facebook page dedicated to Harris' search, "BRING Ivanice HOME" confirmed she was found Monday and requests privacy for her family.
