Missing woman found dead in Pacifica

(05-03) 13:51 PDT PACIFICA -- A woman found dead from a gunshot wound in Pacifica over the weekend turned out to be someone who had been reported missing since February, police said Friday.
The decomposed body of Cecilia Zamora, 36, of San Francisco was discovered on Gateway Drive last Saturday 4. An autopsy determined she had been shot.
No arrest has been made, and detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
"Investigators do not believe this crime was a random act, and detectives continue to follow up on several leads related to this case," said San Bruno police Lt. Geoff Caldwell.
The investigation began Feb. 16 when relatives of Zamora contacted San Francisco police to report her missing. Detectives traced leads to San Bruno and found evidence she had been the victim of an assault there, Caldwell said.
