A search is under way for the pastor at Flat Rock Church of Christ.
Terry Dow was reported missing by his wife at about 1 a.m. today after he failed to return home yesterday.
According to Sgt. Anthony Korody, Dow’s wife last saw him Tuesday morning as she was taking their children to school.
When she returned later in the day, she saw that his cellphone was there, but he was nowhere to be found.
Korody said she assumed he was at a church meeting in Allen Park, but after talking with a member realized he never showed up there.
According to Korody, the woman still was not overly concerned, thinking he was out visiting church members, but he never came home.
Dow has been formally listed as a missing person by police. Korody said Dow’s black 1998 Nissan Sentra also is missing.
Korody said there are things police can do, such as track any banking transactions and run a trace on his license plate to see if the vehicle has been stopped by police.
Members of the church have been out looking for Dow, police said.
“This does not look like foul play at this time,” Korody said.
