The La Crosse County Sheriff's Department is ending the ground search for an Onalaska man missing since last Saturday.
45-year-old Dave Schroeder, who lived on Brice Prairie, was last seen Saturday where its believed he left on foot from his home. His residence is near the Oak Grove Learning Center.
Schroeder, who is diabetic, left without his medicine and may be in need of medical treatment.
The ground search was ended around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon after searchers failed to find a sign of him. An air search also took part in the operation.
Journey Lutheran Church has established an emergency fund for the Schroeder family to help them during this time.
All donations may be dropped off or sent to the Park Bank branch in Holmen.
