SILVER ALERT: James Hawthorn, 79 - Jupiter, FLORIDA (Dementia - missing since July 11th - vehicle found abandoned near Belle Glade August 9th)

 

A 79-year-old Jupiter man who disappeared in early July remains missing and police are asking for the public's help in finding him.

Police last week found James Hawthorn's white 1994 Ford Escort wagon in an area of farmland east of Belle Glade and just south of Airport Road. Hawthorn has not been seen since he left his home in the 900 block of Thayer Lane in Jupiter on July 11. His car was found near Belle Glade on Aug. 9.

Hawthorn suffers from dementia Jupiter police said.

Hawthorn is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 145 pounds with gray hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a gray and brown plaid shirt, gray pants and gray shoes.

Anyone who may have seen Hawthorn or his vehicle prior to Aug. 9 in the Belle Glade area, or anyone who has any information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call the Jupiter police department in 561-746-6201.
