#MISSING: Webster, 4 & Kaylani Zackery, 5 - Hamden, CONNECTICUT (not believed to be in danger)

Police are asking for the public's help as they look to check the welfare of two young children.
Kaylani Zackery, 5, and her brother, Webster Zackery, 4, were last seen on Aug. 7, more than a week ago, police said Friday night. They are not believed to be in danger, Sgt. Nathan Youngberg said. They are with their mother, Jessica Lopez, who has the legal right to see the children, he said.
Their father called police because he has not heard from Lopez for several days and was upset, Youngberg said.
"This is more of a welfare check," he said.
The children had not been found as of 11 p.m. Friday.
Both children are described as black/Hispanic, about 3-foot6 with brown eyes.
Kaylani weighs 50 pounds and was last seen wearing a multi-colored tank top, jean shorts and pink sneakers. She had braids in her hair.
Webster weighs 45 pounds and was wearing an orange polo shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers with white trim, police said.
Anyone who knows where the children are is asked to call Hamden police at 203-230- 4000.
