The daughter of an elderly Detroit man missing since Monday morning is asking for help in finding her father.
Aaron Shorts, 82, is in the early stages of dementia and was last seen at his house in the 19400 block of Littlefield about 11:45 a.m. Monday, according to Sheryl Shorts, 53, of Detroit. Aaron Shorts had told his granddaughter he was going to the Secretary of State’s Office to renew his license but has not been seen since.
“I’m hoping he got somewhere and got lost and confused and turned around,” Sheryl Shorts said, noting that her father is usually home no later than 7 p.m.
Aaron Shorts is black with a dark complexion, about 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown eyes, a mustache and salt and pepper hair, walks with a cane and takes medication. Aaron Shorts drives a silver, 2002 Chrysler Concorde with Michigan license plate No. BRC2657.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit Police Department Criminal Investigations at 313-596-5240.
