URGENT MISSING: Joseph Butler, 79 - Fort Lauderdale, FLORIDA (ALZHEIMER'S - MAY BE DESPONDENT)

Fort Lauderdale police are looking for a 79-year-old man who hasn't been seen since Thursday evening.

Joseph Butler, who police say has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and depression, was last seen walking away from his apartment complex along the 600 block of Northwest 10th Avenue.

No foul play is suspected, but officials are concerned for Butler's safety.

He is described as 5 feet 3 tall, weighing 130 pounds with gray hair. Butler was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and bluejean pants.

 

Authorities ask anyone with information on Butler's whereabouts to contact Fort Lauderdale Police Detective Rosalind Wilson at 954-828-5500 or the Fort Lauderdale Police Department at 954-828-5700.
