MISSING: Gevork Boyadzhyan, 24 - Burbank, CALIFORNIA

The family of a 24-year-old Burbank man who was reported missing more than a week ago is seeking the public’s help in tracking his whereabouts.

Gevork Boyadzhyan was last seen leaving his home near Grismer Avenue and San Fernando Boulevard at around 7:30 p.m. on July 20 in his white 2010 Lexus sedan, which has a black roof and black rims. The license plate number is “6MUG716,” according to police.

Boyadzhyan was described by family members as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 170 pounds, with light brown eyes and short brown hair. He has a tattoo of a portrait of a young boy on his right inner biceps.

Family members said Boyadzhyan appeared to be upset when leaving the house, where he lives with his mother. At around 8:30 p.m., he sent a text message to a friend that read “Call me.”

The friend returned the call an hour later, but Boyadzhyan’s phone had been turned off.

The following morning, Boyadzhyan didn’t show up to give his mother a ride to the airport. And last Monday, he didn’t show up for work at a trucking company, which was uncharacteristic, according to his cousin, Edgar Gevondyan.

“It’s not easy going to work at 5 a.m. every day — he does it, he’s the first one there every single day,” Gevondyan said. “He’s very responsible. He’s pretty much the man of the house, he wouldn’t just disappear like this.”

Family members continue to call his phone a few times a day, but it apparently has remained off.

When word got to Gevondyan last Tuesday that his cousin hadn’t been to work in two days, he said he left a note at Boyadzhyan’s home asking that he call him. The call never came.

Boyadzhyan’s family reported him missing to Burbank police on July 24. No activity has been reported on Boyadzhyan’s credit cards, bank accounts or cell phone since the day he was last seen, and his belongings and passport are still at his home, Gevondyan said.

According to his family, Boyadzhyan has not checked in at any local hospitals or been booked into any jails.

“I spoke to everybody I could think of who has ever known him,” Gevondyan said. “He hasn’t contacted anybody.”

No foul play is suspected at this time, and Boyadzhyan reportedly made no indication that he wanted to hurt himself, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Facebook page asking the public’s help to find Boyadzhyan has been “liked” more than 1,200 times.

Anyone with information on Boyadzhyan’s whereabouts has been encouraged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3140.
