Hello daniel lucas,

Blytheville police investigating abduction of 5-year-old

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The Blytheville Police Department is investigating the non-custodial abduction of a 5-year-old.

According to police, Harry Darby went to pick up his five-year-old son BLYTHEVILLE, AR

from his ex-wife's residence located at 840 East Main, on Monday.

When he arrived, he made contact with his ex-wife Corbet Darby who advised him to come back in an hour. After a few minutes, Darby exited the apartment with the child in her hands and got into her 1996 white Volvo and locked the doors.

Mr. Darby called the police department as he watched Mrs. Darby leave the parking lot before officers could arrive.

Contact was made with Darby's family in both Tennessee and Missouri and no one has heard from her. Corbet has a history of mental instability, according to police.

Police are concerned for both Corbet and Evan. If anyone has information regarding their whereabouts, contact the Blytheville Police Department at 870-763-4411.
