Police are searching for a Mohave County woman who went missing in early October whose vehicle may have been spotted in the Yuma area. Her friends and family are also offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.
Cynthia Marie Horn, 54, of Yucca – located about 35 miles north of Lake Havasu City – was last seen on Oct. 3 leaving her home with 50-year-old James David Collins. She was driving a 1994 Jeep Wrangler with a Colorado license plate of 383EXE.
Horn is described as having a light complexion, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing between 170 and 183 pounds, with hazel eyes and long curly blonde hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and possibly a tie-dye shirt. She generally styles her hair with a pony tail and often wears glasses and a baseball cap.
According to reports, Collins may have been spotted traveling through the Yuma area to Mexico in Horn's Jeep in early October.
"The last place he was seen in the United States was in Yuma," said Mary Miklosz, a close friend of Horn's who suspects Collins in the disappearance.
Miklosz said Collins has since been arrested in Mexicali, Mexico on unspecified charges, and was reportedly in possession of Horn's Jeep, although Horn has not been located in Mexico.
Miklosz said she fears Horn is dead, and hopes to learn more information. As such she and her family are offering the reward to anyone with information about where to find her.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office encourages anyone with information about this case to call them at (800) 522-4312 or (928) 753-0753.
