The wife of missing man Timothy Gray is speaking out for the very first time, in hopes someone knows something that can help find her husband..
Timothy Gray, 35 disappeared without a trace nearly two weeks ago. Friends and family say they haven't seen or heard from him since November 14th. The last two weeks have been a nightmare for Tim's wife Samantha who says she walks the woods day and night searching for her missing husband.
"There's so many things that go through your head like where could he be, why did he leave? Is he okay..." said Samantha Gray, Tim's wife.
The 35-year-old father of two disappeared in the Ootlewah area, while camping beside their home. Samantha says she and Tim were on good terms. The inseparable pair have been happily married for 8 years.
"Nobody is really trying to help it's basically been put on the family," said Gray.
Tim was camping with only a tent, a few blankets and her pre-paid cell phone. Family members said he did not have a car or I.D.with him.
"I love him, I miss him, he's my husband I need to know if he's okay," said Gray.
Hamilton County officials tell Channel 3 they have not helped search that area because the family did their own search before reporting Tim missing, on the 17th. Officials say what makes Tim's missing person's case different is the fact he may have been worried about a possible warrant out for his arrest. Samantha admits 48 hours before Tim went missing he was in jail for loitering/ prowling charges but those charges were dropped. She says, "yes he was upset" but there are no warrants and no reasons why he would abandon his family. especially around the holidays.
"I'm not going to stop until he is found, he is somewhere," said Gray.
Friday will mark 2 weeks Timothy Gray has been missing. Officials say their investigation is active and deputies are following every lead.
Gray was last seen in the Ootlewah, Georgetown area. He is 5' 10 about 155 pounds with dark brown hair.
