Authorities said a 30-year-old man who went missing over the weekend was located in northwest Phoenix by Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies and was safely returned to his home.
Celestino "Tino" Valencia, 30, was last seen Nov. 15, about 11:30 a.m. walking in a southeast direction from his home in the 8900 block of West Charleston Avenue.
Police believed he was trying to walk to Guadalupe, where he has family.
"He has wandered away from his home before and was found in medical distress due to dehydration. Valencia is on medication for mental illness and may not be able to care for himself," Peoria police spokesperson Amanda Jacinto stated in a prepared release.
