AMBER ALERT: Malik Drummond, 2 - Searcy, ARKANSAS (Medically endangered - autistic)

It's been hours since a Memphis search group came back home after joining in on the search for Malik Drummond, a two-year-old autistic boy from Searcy, Arkansas, who was last seen Sunday evening in his bedroom.

Searcy is about 2.5 hours west of Memphis.

Malik was wearing a blue shirt and brown striped pants when he was last seen. Malik weighs 40 pounds, is 3-feet and has brown hair, brown eyes and a light complexion.

As the temperatures dip into the 30s and it gets harder to see outside the search continues for any sign of Malik. Searcy Police say because he's autistic he has a tendency to hide and that's not good for those looking for him.

Hundreds of volunteers, most of whom don't even know Malik, spent all day Monday searching for the toddler.

"Well if it was my child I'd want somebody to be looking for them," said Norma Clark.

The FBI has now joined in on the search with Searcy Police for Malik, who wandered out of his apartment while his mother was taking a bath Sunday evening.

Malik's twin sister was found safe.

Police don't suspect foul play but as the hours go by so do the possibilities the little boy won't be found safe.

"There's a reason to believe anything is possible and were following up on any possible scenario," said Searcy Police Chief Jeremy Clark.

Until then, everyone involved will keep searching and tying to stay positive.

"Well I'm hoping he's somewhere safe where he's warm," Clark said. "I pray to God he's alright."

Volunteers were asked to go home and get rest in case the search continues Tuesday morning. Police said they will search overnight and for as long as it takes to find the little boy.

If you have seen Malik you are urged to call Searcy Police at 501-268-3531.
