A Breckenridge man who drove his car into Dillon Reservoir and swam to safety with only minor injuries has gone missing, and family members say the 27-year-old has an emotional disorder and may be hitchhiking.
Jack McAtee went missing Sept. 19, a day after crashing into the reservoir and acting erratically with the state trooper who helped him.
The Summit Daily reports (http://bit.ly/1u57nWE ) that McAtee was held at the Summit County jail for a mental evaluation after the crash. He was released the next day and hasn't been seen since.
McAtee had asked the trooper about hitchhiking. Relatives initially searched in Moab, Utah, a destination McAtee discussed with the trooper.
McAtee is a white male with brown hair and green eyes. He's 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
