#MISSING: John Michael Simons, 61 - Steamboat Springs, COLORADO (truck found in the Black Mountain area in NW Colorado)

Authorities say the truck belonging to a man missing since July has been found in the Black Mountain area in northwestern Colorado.

The Craig Police Department says a rancher found 61-year-old John Michael Simons' truck in northern Routt County, close to a campsite for hunters. Steamboat Today reported Thursday that investigators did not find any signs of foul play.

The Craig man left his home July 25 and wrote a note detailing his plans to go to Trapper's Lake for a few days.

Craig police, who conducted an aerial and ground search after the truck was discovered, are asking hunters, hikers and campers to be on the lookout for any clues

Simons is white, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee.
