A garden full of flowers, tomatoes and other vegetables still sits untended in the backyard of the Gleason's West Chester home.
Three days after the West Chester couple went missing, police and family members are still searching for Robert and Marian Gleason. Marian was known to spend most of her time caring for her garden out back of their home on the 4400 block of Bromyard Avenue.
Robert Gleason, 85, and Marian Gleason, 86, were first reported missing on Tuesday after leaving for an 11 a.m. cardiologist appointment.
Their son, Martin Gleason, said that his sister was supposed to meet with them when she first realized that they were missing.
The couple may have left in a red, 1997 GMC pickup truck with the Ohio license plate BD30HS.
As of Friday morning, West Chester police had no further update on the couple's whereabouts.
Family and officials also plan to check out the couple's farm in Indiana.
"They have a 100 acre farm out in Indiana," said Martin Gleason. "They had talked last Friday about going out there and that they'd be out there the next Friday, today."
This is not the first time the couple has gotten lost while driving, both of whom suffer from early stages of dementia.
"They got really turned around at a wedding in Michigan one time," said Gleason. "But that's easier for them to do while they're out of town."
The Gleason couple has four children, three of which live in Cincinnati, along with Martin. The fourth lives in Michigan. The couple also has seven grandchildren.
"It's sort of hit or miss," said Gleason on how often he sees his parents. "I'll pop in on occasion and have a snack from time to time."
Gleason also says that his parents now spend most of their time at home. His mother working in her garden in the backyard or his father "finding another project" around the plot.
The couple are also members at Christ Church in Mason. They attend regularly and partake in many of the congregation's activities. They have not been seen at the church this week.
Police are continuing to look through traffic cameras on I-42, says Gleason, hoping that they might be able to spot the truck if the couple left town.
The search has also been expanded with the help of Texas Equusearch, a nonprofit organization known for aiding in the searches of missing persons. They have recently helped with the disappearance of Brogan Dulle and Katelyn Markham.
Robert Gleason is described as 5-foot-7 and 135 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.
Marian Gleason is 5-foot-6 and 155 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Chester police: 513-777-2231.
