(ActionNewsJax) The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced on Twitter Sunday morning that a missing 4-year-old girl, last seen with a trusted friend of the girl's father, has been found safe.
Police ended the search for T'yanna Elisa Davis about 24 hours after she was last seen.
Authorities said she was last seen Saturday around 10 a.m. in the company of 30-year-old Freddric Sherrod at the Virginian Arms apartment complex on Jammes Road on the Westside, just east of Interstate 295 & Wilson Boulevard.
The man who lived with Sherrod at that apartment is the one who last saw the two together, according to investigators.
"Thank God everything is OK," said Lamar Major, Sherrod's roommate.
