Earthly body located; Crucita "Lucy" Alvarado 73 - Coney Island, New York

CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) – The badly decomposed body found on top of a Coney Island apartment building is that of a 73-year-old grandmother who went missing August 12, the woman's granddaughter told PIX11.

Crucita "Lucy" Alvarado, who lived at the building on 30th Street, was last scene at a Rite Aide just a block away from her apartment.

Her daughter and family canvassed the neighborhood, hung up flyers, and created a Facebook page to get the word out.

Lucy suffered from Alzheimer's and dementia.
