Earthly body located; Brianna Dibattiste 25 - Jay County, Indiana

JAY COUNTY, Ind. (Sept. 2, 2014)—The remains of an Indiana woman who has been missing since mid-June were discovered in Jay County, said the sheriff's department Tuesday.

Authorities said the badly decomposed body of 25-year-old Brianna Dibattiste was located by members of the Jay County Conservation Club in a wooded area off County Road 650 South.

"An autopsy will be performed on the body on September 3, 2014 and test results may not be known for several weeks," said Jay County Prosecuting Attorney Wes Schemenaur. "Investigators have preliminarily identified the body as Ms. Dibattiste. A DNA test will be performed in order to confirm the identity."
