As of 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, 33-year-old Arron Lewis is officially charged with capital murder of Carter. He was initially booked on a kidnapping charge and a parole hold for the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
Lewis is also charged with robbery and three charges of possession of firearms by certain persons.
A press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the sheriff's office to share more information. THV11 will be there.
After over 12 hours of interviewing by investigators, Lewis was transported and booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility (PCRDF). Shortly after he was booked, investigators obtained information that led them to the 12100 block of Hwy 5 (Cabot city address in Pulaski County), which is the location of Argos Concrete Co., about 20 miles from where she reportedly disappeared.
Investigators located Carter's body in a shallow grave on the property. Her family was then notified.
