URGENT #MISSING: Gail Shelton, 45 - Richmond, VIRGINIA (walks with a cane)

Police and loved-ones of a missing nursing assistant are continuing their search for Gail Shelton, 45, of Richmond. Shelton's twin sister, Dale Shelton, says no one has seen her or heard from her since July 15th. Gail's family's extremely worried, and in despair to find her.
Gail was last seen near her home off Chamberlayne Avenue, at the Gas Light Apartments. Dale says her sister's sudden disappearance is extremely unnerving.

"This has been going on too long, and it's very out of the norm," said Dale.

Dale and her sister speak on the phone several times a day. However, Dale says the pair hasn't had contact for nearly a month. "She's never not responded to anybody's calls… like this time."

Gail doesn't have a car. She also recently fractured her hip, and walks with a cane. "Gail could barely get along on that fractured hip," continued Dale.

Family members also noted that Gail's clothes and most of her belongings are still in her apartment. Dale says her sister seemingly didn't take anything with her. "Nothing is missing... clothes and all. And that is just not like her."

Gail's relatives continue to canvass the neighborhood. The complex's property manager, Jim Bartholomew, says no one has spotted her in weeks. "She just disappeared," said Bartholomew.

Another major concern is that Gail needs several insulin shots a day. Her loved ones continue to check in with area hospitals. They pray for any sign of Gail, or help from anyone who may recognize her.

"If anybody has seen her, or heard from her... anything... call the police," pleaded Dale.
Gail was last seen wearing a Washington Redskins shirt and baseball cap. She walks with a limp. If you've seen Gail Shelton, or know anything about her disappearance, call Richmond police at the Department's non-emergency number (804) 646-5100, or Detective Julissa Booth at (804) 646-7076.
