URGENT #MISSING: Antonio "Tony" Salas, 68 - Fultondale, ALABAMA (Severe diabetic - has a prosthetic leg)

A massive search is underway for a missing Fultondale man last seen Friday night.
Antonio "Tony" Salas, 68, is a severe diabetic and has a prosthetic leg. Family members said he hasn't been heard from in four days and they are more than concerned.
"We don't know where he is or what's going on,'' said his daughter, Debbie Rasmussen.
Salas has a left prosthetic leg and walks with a red cane. He could possibly be wearing a dark-colored jacket, family members said.
Fultondale police said they launched a search for Salas, and have been assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Hoover Police Department. They used a helicopter to search the area around his home on Ridgebrook Road Monday, and have also used tracking dogs to try to find Salas.
"We've been using the dogs every day,'' said Fultondale police Sgt. D.P. Smith. "It's so hot, we're having to limit the time we use them. We had them out early this morning, and they'll be back out later."
Salas likes to garden in his backyard. Smith said lawmen have primarily focused the search in the heavily-wooded area that surrounds his home.
Smith said they've distributed pictures of Salas nationwide, and entered him to national missing persons' databases. "We're frantically searching because the window of opportunity is slowly closing on us,'' Smith said. "We're all concerned."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Salas is asked to call Fultondale police at 205-849-5456.
