Earthly body located; Anita Washington 49 - Deatsville, Alabama

ELMORE COUNTY, Alabama -- The body found wrapped in a sheet in a wooded area in Elmore County on Saturday has been positively identified as Anita Washington, of Deatsville, WAKA reported.

Washington, 49, was reported missing by family and friends on Aug. 20. Two days later, her son Sedrick Clayton was charged with her murder.

Clayton's bond was set at $250,000 after an initial hearing in Elmore County on Monday.

Police say Clayton was charged based on forensic evidence recovered from Washington's house.
