URGENT #MISSING: William Pickens, 62 - Margate, FLORIDA (Dementia - never returned home after doctor's visit)


A 62-year-old man who suffers from dementia was reported missing in Margate after going for a doctor's visit and not returning home, police said Saturday.
William Pickens was picked up and taken to the VA Hospital at 1201 NW 16th Street in Miami early Friday morning and discharged about 1 p.m.
But he never returned home to the Golden Care Assisted Living Facility in the 4900 block of Southwest 4th Street where he resides in Margate, police said.
Pickens is described to be 5-feet-6 and about 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored T-shirt with white and blue designs and gray pants.
He also has a tattoo on the lower right arm that reads "PEACE," authorities said.

Police urge anyone with information on Pickens' whereabouts to contact the Margate Police Department at 954-973-7222.
