Volunteers scanned the Dayton area on Saturday in a search effort for a 5-year-old who has been missing for three months.
Zaden McKnight has been missing since March 2014. McKnight's mother, an Air Force veteran, was found deceased in April near the Stillwater River. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.
Texas Equusearch, a search and rescue organization dedicated to missing persons cases, has joined the effort. Along with volunteers, they searched the Dayton area on Saturday. An update on their progress was not immediately available.
Authorities ask anyone with information about Zaden McKight to contact police at 937-333-1222.
