URGENT #MISSING: George Pochiba, 88 - North Bethlehem, PENNSYLVANIA (Dementia)

The North Bethlehem Township man who left his home Tuesday night remained missing late Thursday night as his family and friends launched their own search for him.

George Pochiba, 88, left his home at Crescent Road about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and didn't return. That prompted his family to begin searching for him before state police and dozens of firefighters launched an organized search operation for most of the day Wednesday.

State police suspended the search Wednesday night and would not restart it until receiving any new information that might lead to Pochiba's location.

Friends and family started a Facebook page called "George Pochiba Search" to help organize search times and locations.

"Please help us in continuing the search for George Pochiba," the page states. "Every day from dawn until dusk, until he is found."

Pochiba's family said he has dementia.
